Chantal Duisters is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of the firm Duisters & Parvizi.
Ms. Duisters completed her undergraduate studies at Cal State University, San Marcos, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Psychology & Human Development.
Following her graduation, Ms. Duisters pursued her dream of becoming a lawyer and began attending Thomas Jefferson School of Law. She earned her Juris Doctor degree in May 2013.
Prior to law school, Ms. Duisters worked as a legal secretary for a family law firm where she handled various administrative tasks, interacted with clients, and assisted in case preparation.
In 2010, Ms. Duisters began working as a law clerk for a civil litigation firm during which time she gained valuable legal experience. She remained with the firm as a law clerk while attending law school on a full time basis. Upon passing the California Bar Exam, Ms. Duisters became an Associate with the firm. During her tenure as an Associate at the firm, Ms. Duisters represented numerous governmental and public agencies. She also represented various professionals in malpractice suits.
Ms. Duisters' lifelong passion for serving others played an integral part in her her decision to help establish Duisters & Parvizi. Dedicated to educate individuals on the importance of protecting their finances, Ms. Duisters strives to ensure the wishes of all are not only maintained but also carried through in the event they were to become legally incapacitated.
Ms. Duisters is a member of the California State Bar, the American Bar Association, and the San Diego County Bar Association.
In addition, Ms. Duisters is admitted to practice in the Southern District of the United States District Court.
Nastaran Parvizi is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Duisters & Parvizi.
Ms. Parvizi was born in Iran and moved to Sweden at an early age where she was raised the majority of her life. Upon graduating high school, she moved to the United States and attended Georgia State University, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. Ms. Parvizi decided to pursue law in an effort to help individuals in distress and recover them from unfortunate circumstances.
Ms. Parvizi moved to San Diego upon admission to Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she was the recipient of the Jefferson Scholarship and received her Juris Doctorate degree. During her studies she also attended Guanghua Law School (Zhejiang University) in Hangzhou, China as a visiting scholar.
Prior to co-founding Duisters & Parvizi, Ms. Parvizi worked for one of the most renown criminal defense attorneys assisting in the defense of several high-profile cases, including cases involving celebrity clients. However, after witnessing first-hand the devastation of losing a loved one, the failure to plan ahead, and the many important decisions that need to be made during a grief-stricken time, Ms. Parvizi recognized the need to assist individuals and families with preserving their life-long assets. As a result, she shifted her focus from criminal to civil, pursuing her passion of estate planning while remaining dedicated to helping individuals.
Ms. Parvizi is a member of the Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law Section for the San Diego County Bar Association, North County Bar Association, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. In addition, she is a board member of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce and the Swedish Women Educational Association. Aside from English, Ms. Parvizi is also fluent in Farsi, Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish.
Ms. Parvizi is admitted to practice in the state of California and the Southern District of the United States District Court.
